People with opioid use disorder (OUD) are vulnerable to disruptions in access to addiction treatment and social supports during the novel coronavirus 19 (COVID-19). While some communities have reported increased opioid overdose rates, the extent and subsequent changes in Emergency Department (ED) utilization following a nonfatal opioid overdose during COVID-19 remains unknown.
